Firstly, the old newspapers are soaked in water and then put into the hydropulper. This machine, which has rotating blades, cuts the paper finely into a pulp.

After being bleached, the pulp is passed through rollers. All excees wateris now squeezed out of the pulp. This makes the drying process faster. The drying is done in a dryer. The pulp comes out of the dryer as large sheets of paper, which are rolled on spools.
